What was it like the first time you were left at home alone?  Most of us probably don't remember to much of what it would have been like.  I think I imagined that it would be a lot like when Kevin gets left behind at home in the movie, Home Alone.  He goes wild and crazy for a while because he has the whole place to himself.

Have you ever lost something?  That was a question I asked the kids yesterday in the children's message.  They answered like you would expect them to.  They were pretty sure that most of the things they'd lost were probably under their beds.  I remember (vaguely, it's been a while) when I was there age that that was where most of my lost things ended up too.

It's okay to be different.  In fact, that's a requirement to be a follower of Jesus Christ.  I should clarify.  I don't mean be different from the world, but look like every other "christian" that is out there.  It's okay to be different from other Christians too.  Our goal is not to conform to someone else's expectations, but to be transformed by what God is doing in us, around us, and through us.
