Links and Resources

Links and Resources
Below are a set of links and resources that I've been putting together to help small town and rural churches use technology in better ways.  The premise is that there are three levels that churches use.  In a presentation I've put together (that I was unable to give at a conference that was cancelled due to weather) I outline these levels.

What follows below is based on those levels. (more pieces will be added as time goes on).

Basic Level Links

Gmail Account Setup: Set up your church's email address
Facebook: Set up your personal account if you don't have one
Facebook Page Setup: Do this after you've set up your personal account
Weebly Example: My church website that uses Weebly as a host
Blogger: This is a good host and is what my website is hosted on
Weebly: Another good host and is what my church website is hosted on
Google Maps Setup: First is help on my website before linking to Google
Snapchat: Another social media option to look at
Mailchimp: Mass email service that has a free option
Remind: Small group texting service. Many schools also use this
Groupme: Similar to Remind in its capabilities
Eztexting: Mass texting service that has a pay as you go option
